Hi Grace. Sorry I'm confused by this request. Did you want one of the images that you pointed to in the other blog templates? Or are you looking for a new illustration? or, are you simply looking to include the aurora and beta logos as part of the graphic?
* If it's a new illustration, that's going to be challenging because the illustrations you pointed to were done by an agency/design team and it will take more time and money.
* If you're looking to just have some presentation of the aurora and beta logos, that can be done.. but it's different than what you pointed to.
* If you're looking to re-purpose an existing graphic, that's easiest. But it's likely not what you're looking for.
Could you please clarify? and also, I need timing...

Thanks Tara. Talk to Slater about this yesterday. but to answer you question... i'm just looking to include the aurora and beta logo as the header graphic and wanted to get some recommendations on how to place them next to each other and still have a good look, where it does not look like we just pasted two logos next to each other.
Slater and I also discussed of potentially getting a new template but was going to check with Sean if that was possible.
But overall, it would be re-purposing existing graphic.
Slater, thoughts regarding next steps?

Like Grace said, we basically need a header image here that utilizes the Aurora & Beta logos. (No Nightly though? please confirm...fwiw, I think the Nightly adds a nice visual touch since it works so well with Aurora)
Tara, what about asking Ty to do this? That way Sean can advise on creative details if needed.
Grace, if the blog itself has to be live by the 17th, do you have a sense of what the creative due date is? Sometime a couple of weeks before that, I'd assume.

- we won't be releasing any nightly post here ;(
so probably no nightly logo

-will double check with craig what's the absolute latest he needs the image header.

- when do you think is a realistic timeframe to get the image graphic header? since the page needs to be live by 17th, would really like to get the template the latest by may 10th and craig cant start/finalize the template until we have the header image. thanks

I would think sometime next week is doable. Tara, let me know what you think about the Ty plan. If that happens, it would depend on his schedule.

Will check to see if Ty is available. fwiw... we may be able to come up with a concept that includes the nightly, but is deemphasized against the other logos that this blog will actually be covering. I like John's note about keeping the three as a set, since they look nice together. If these are planets, for example, perhaps the nightly is further in the back... also might be a nice nod to the overall process and progression from one release channel to the next. Just a thought. Not sure if it would look good or not.

We're open to seeing what it looks like, of course, as long as its de-emphasized.

FYI: we're really short on design resources at the moment...Tara and I will keep looking.

hi sean.
i realized that we've closed this bug and move forward with the image...
so this request is not top priority and more of a "nice to have," but i was wondering if we can switch the position of the logos, having the aurora first and then the beta.
i understand that rational for the set up is that aurora comes first and then the beta / final hence the official one up front, however, this blog page would be mainly focus on aurora, desktop beta and mobile beta, so would really like emphasized the channel logos. i know we are also in the process of creating a logo for mobile beta (bug 652652), I'm not sure how different the logo will be, but that might be one thing to consider as well.
sean, let me know what you think or whether there would be time to update since the page needs to be live on the design by 12 and craig to implement in the template before that. If not, again this is more of a nice to have, so we're good to go live with this image for now.
thanks

Sorry for the delay on this!
- the Fx logo had to be downsized as the fox head was getting hidden at a larger size
